Tour Overview
Malaysia’s first Unesco World Heritage Site is Kinabalu Park in Kundasang, about 90km from the city of Kota Kinabalu. Within this park, which spans more than 75,000ha, stands Borneo and Malaysia’s highest peak, the majestic Mt Kinabalu, visible on clear days from anywhere in the park. A wide range of habitat features here, from rich tropical lowland and hill rainforest to tropical mountain forest, subalpine forest and shrub on the higher elevations. The park has also been designated a Centre of Plant Diversity for Southeast Asia, as it is exceptionally rich in species with examples of flora from the Himalayas, China, Australia, Malaysia, as well as pantropical flora. Visitors come here to enjoy the cool mountain air and feast their eyes on breathtaking views of valleys and mountain range – it is truly a sight for sore eyes. A trip here is sure to refresh soul and spirit.

Tour Itinerary
Day 1
Soak in mountain fresh air of Kinabalu Park while dipping in the all-natural mineral-rich hot spring water
- The journey to National Park takes about 2 hours by road from Kota Kinabalu city. Along the way, you will pass local villages and panoramic views of hills and valleys.
- The drive will make a pit stop at Nabalu Village to savour a selection of succulent local fruits and shop for handicrafts.
- At Kinabalu Park, visitors will be taken on a guided tour, with a visit to the exhibition centre followed by the beautifully kept garden brimming with gorgeous blossoms.
- The nature walk is sure to work up an appetite, and lunch will be at a local restaurant before departing for Kota Kinabalu.
- Depart on another hour journey’s to Poring Hot Spring.
- Once arrive at Poring Hot Spring, trek to the Canopy walkway, from a 175m length suspended high above the forest floor.
- A 20 minutes hike is needed to reach the canopy walk. Visitor are also allowed to try a soothing sulphur bath in the Japanese-styled open air tubs.
- Dip in the all-natural mineral-rich hot spring water, surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens.
- Return back to Kota Kinabalu in evening.
