Tour Overview
Sabah’s cerulean waters are home to an incredible variety of aquatic plants and animals. Gayana Marine Resort’s PADI Certified Dive Centre lets you discover this marvelous underwater world in the waters off Gaya Island, where you are likely to encounter sea turtles, clownfish, coral fish and even whale sharks, to name a few. A license is not required to dive at Gayana as our specially-trained PADI certified instructors will lead you by the hand. Novice divers are first taken for a briefing and training session at the resort's diving pool before venturing out to sea. The island’s privacy also guarantees that guests will have an exclusive and uncluttered diving experience.

Tour Itinerary
Day 1
Training for novice divers and proceed to dive into the ocean within Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park
- Start the tour with a 15 minutes boat ride to Gayana Marine Resort.
- Upon arrival, participate in a short briefing where dive instructor will get you to fill up Discover Scuba Diving Pamphlet and sign Diving Liability Release and Indemnity Form before gears are issued.
- Proceed the tour with briefing on activities and facilities, and skill demonstration (Pool Dive).
- Practice your skill in the pool where you will be introduced to Dive Skills and hand signals used underwater.
- After lunch at Macac Restaurant, you are set to take the plunge for first dive at maximum depth of 10 metres for 40 minutes under the full supervision of your dive instructor.
- The location of dive may vary, but will still be within Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park.
- After the dive, hop on a boat ride back to Jesselton Point Jetty.
Important Notes:
- It is recommended that you allow a minimum of 18 hours surface interval before flying after diving. -You will need to sign the PADI release and liability form before proceeding for your dives.
- Gayana Marine Resort Dive Center reserves the right to change departure time or postpone the dives should weather and sea condition be deemed unsafe for Sea Sports/ Recreation activities.
- For PADI Discover Scuba Diving, participants are required to fill in the DSD Pamphlet and Medical History / Medical Declaration. A letter from your physician is required should there be a Medical deterrent should you choose to proceed with the program.
- PADI DSD program is a non certification program.
- Minimum age with Parents/ Guardian consent is 10 years old and above.
- Dive rate remains the same if you have your own dive gears.

Recommendations
Bring extra change clothes, towel, refillable water bottle, sun block lotion, hat/ cap, insect repellent and comfortable shoes/ flip-flops.

- In the event that there is a refund required, the refund will be credited back to you in the same method as your payment. Cancellation less than 24 hours or No Show is subject to 100% cancellation fee.
