Tour Overview

Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park is located off the coast of Kota Kinabalu in Sabah. The Park covers an area of 50 sq kilometers comprising 5 islands, their surrounding reefs, and sea. Its main objective is to protect their fauna, flora, and marine eco-systems. Geologically, the islands are part of the Crocker Range but became isolated from the massif when sea levels rose after the last ice age. As the islands are only a short boat ride away from Kota Kinabalu it is a popular destination among day-trippers (local and tourist), it can be quite crowded during weekends.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1

Boat ride to Mamutik, Sapi or Manukan Island to explore and enjoy sea activities

  • Start the tour with a 20 minutes boat ride to beautiful Mamutik Island (or Sapi/ Manukan Island) off the city of Kota Kinabalu.
  • Upon arrival, you are free to swim, snorkel or just laze around the beach soaking on the tropical sun.
  • There are other available optional activities that are not included in the tour rate such as Banana Boat Rides, Para Sailing, Underwater Sea Walking, Scuba Diving and Jet Ski.
  • You will be served a buffet lunch by the beach at noon.
  • Spend more time soaking in the sea, basking in the sun and enjoy the beach before heading back to Kota Kinabalu.

Should the weather or sea conditions render it unsafe to proceed for this tour, we reserves the right to change or cancel tour.
